What you get

In her image transfers, the artist Jeanne Szilit imagines the relationship between Picasso and his works. Picasso's gaze and that of his sculptures, figures and symbols seem to be mutually dependent in terms of color and texture, as if his reality and the images were a unity of the fascination for Picasso.

Jeanne Szilit´s series consists of 17 variants, each a unique 1 of 1. However, some of motifs have been sold already or are not available as NFTs.

This series features digital transformation art exploring Pablo Picasso´s personality as initially seen through the lens of celebrated Magnum-photographer Franz Hubmann.

The Artist

Jeanne Szilit lives and works in Vienna, Austria. She studied painting, literature, philosophy and film. Her works are sold in high-end auctions and are represented in important private collections and museums (Klimt Foundation, Museum of Modern Art Vienna, Collection III Museum Leopold Vienna).

Her work is frequently shown at international art fairs such as ART BEJING, China, ROMA CONTEMPORARY, Italy, SCOPE MIAMI BEACH, USA, ART COLOGNE, Cologne, ART AUSTRIA, PARIS PHOTO, Grand Palais, and AIPAD New York City.

Initiated by her film studies Jeanne Szilit´s interest turned to photography. Since 2008 she has been combining her three different disciplines in a digital synthesis. In the process, she developed her own experimental form of photomanipulation.

"I work with the imaginary archives of our collective visual memory. I understand each photograph - apart from its direct content - as an imaginary field of experimentation in which unconscious images are hidden."
