About the artist

Miguel Riveros Silva is a Chilean illustrator and director known as Millus. For over 20 years, he has worked successfully for worldwide corporations, film enterprises, and publishers. He inherited his father's aptitude for drawing, which he learned as a child from great character designers and directors such as Harald Siepermann (Disney) and Alexander Mitta. As curator of the Schmitz-Lippert Foundation (CLN COMIC HAUS), he is heavily active in volunteer work for young talents and assists them on their path to independence.

His works at Creatokia are his first Digital Original/NFTs, giving them a unique appeal to collectors and art enthusiasts.

For over 30 years, I have worked as an illustrator and graphic designer. Aside from traditional illustrations, I've also created music videos and animation videos. Always had to deal with new tasks where others frequently gave up or didn't know what to do. My credo is that anything is achievable; all you need is time or the proper people.

About the beginnings as an illustrator

My early days as an illustrator were spent away from the computer. I was still learning the traditional craft. I drew and inked on paper, got my fingers messy with paint, and gave up on making the desired adjustments because a polished traditional image is rarely changed with a few clicks. I lived through the computer revolution and its facilitation of work, as well as the arrival of the Internet. Unfortunately, digital art has always had a major issue. Every work could be copied, and there was no way to identify or distinguish a digital work as original. Because of NFTs, this has altered.

Today, I usually work digitally, although I appreciate the ability to draw and paint without the use of graphic programs or pens. It gives me an entirely new perspective on creativity and art in our day. I am pleased that, with the introduction of NFTs, artists, particularly those who create digital works, may secure their works and sell them as originals.

I delved into the area of NFTs with Creatokia and learned a lot from the in-depth podcasts available on the website. Prior to my involvement with CREATOKIA, NFTs were just another of those new internet myths that appeared overly difficult at first glance. Now I know what I'm doing and am prepared for the future. I'm sure many more of my works will be made into NFTs, but my very first NFTs are exclusively available on the Creatokia website.

Millus and the Eternal Masterpiece Collection

Finding the correct aesthetic solution for new and unusual projects is always tough. You want to stand out from the crowd, so select a style that corresponds to the content.

Time should be set aside on a regular basis for searching in order for a concept artist to investigate, experiment, and produce concepts.

Creatokia has always had a clear vision for the Eternal Masterpiece Collection.

The authors of world literature were to be staged in the form of mosaic stained glass windows found in old churches.

Image programs and resources

An image was created using several graphics applications. Illustrator, Fresco, ProCreate, and Photoshop are all available. The faces were created in Fresco, and the window grille in Illustrator and Photoshop. Miguel used his iPad Pro and Wacom Cintiq for this. Nowadays, numerous programs are required to reach where you want to go.

What exactly are Creatokia's stained glass artworks?

"An image should always consist of three elements: the author's portrait, the framework of the window, and a specific motif of a work by the connected author," Miguel adds.

Creatokia determined the motif selection. Miguel, the illustrator, was responsible for the artistic execution.

The images' origins

Miguel comments on the creation: "I sketched multiple Goethe portraits in order to find the best version of a face. Many gorgeous variations were created, which honed my talents as a draftsman. Anyone familiar with artbooks and making-of books for movies and games would understand what I mean. Every finished picture, movie, or game is the result of a lot of hard effort."
